Discovering what love is one day at a time
The other morning I woke up with a song from Bon Jovi going through my head…Shot through the heart but your too late, you give love a bad name…I play my part but you play your game…you give love a bad name… It just made me think how thankful I am for the undeserved mercy and grace that we receive daily. How often do we give love, HIS love, a bad name? How often do we play games instead of just coming out with truth. How often do we hide in offense, or in an emotion that draws us away from pure relationship with God, and with one another. He has enabled us to give freely all of ourselves to others. His grace is exceedingly abundant. How can we then be stingy, He has set us up to show forth His long-suffering to others as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. How can I be stingy, when I have been irreverent, ill-treating of others, arrogant and rude? My placement in Him has only come through His ability, His love and His long-suffering for me. His love was found through His complete surrounding of me, by His perfect love, and my complete ignorance. He opens our eyes. He showers us with His love, He directs us to the center of His heart, no matter how long it takes no matter how much we fight Him, He waits for us, never giving up.

AuthorI have been married to my wonderful husband for 29 years. We have two young men ages 25 and 20.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to remind myself of my purpose and invite others to join me in keeping an eternal perspective as we move through each day. Archives
