Discovering what love is one day at a time
“The best things in life are unexpected-because there were no expectations”…-Eli Kharmarov Have you ever caught yourself placing an expectation on another? Was your expectation a positive or negative one based on your past experiences with that person? How did it change your relationship?
Expectations are walls to deeper relationship with one another. Our expectations create an invisible wall that the other either searches frantically in the dark to find entrance to the other side, or by the continuous head banging on our wall with their forehead; they give up and walk away, because there is no entrance to our hearts. Expectations on others are like an unpaid bill. Expectations are a debt that we place on another demanding that it be paid, without showing them the invoice. Freely we have received, freely we ought to give.
