Discovering what love is one day at a time
Do you ever worship the Lord in song and feel like your heart is being unwrapped, like the strings of your heart are being unraveled, and that if you do not physically move, your heart might actually self- combust right there on the spot. Does it almost seem like your movement is the only thing that is keeping it from happening? David brought up the Ark of God…with gladness….Then David danced before the Lord with all His might.
David was undone before the Lord. He was unafraid to give it all. In the Old Testament the Ark of the Testimony was vital for the presence of the Lord. Now, we as the Church, the Body of Christ, we carry the Spirit of the Living God in us. 24-7-365….When you sing, you release the worship of heaven on earth… Wow…beyond imagining… Wherever we go, do we carry Him with gladness? That no matter what is going on in our lives, do we remember that He is there? That despite our struggles He is there. He has not left. He is there to comfort us and strengthen us, to change us and transform us. He is the Hope, He is the King. He is worthy of our attention, and all of our affection... He is worthy of all of our energy, all of our strength, all of our song, all of our dance. When we sense His presence, do we withdraw? Do we hold back? Do we invite Him to have His way? Why? Would our reason be an excuse if we were standing before Him? Would we be able to stand in His presence and speak our reason? Is He the priority? If He isn’t what is? Is He worthy of our finding out what is blocking us from experiencing more of Him? I want to know, whenever I feel an excuse welling up, I want to sift it out with Him, and it is not worth the separation. It is not worth loosing my appetite for His tangible presence.
