Discovering what love is one day at a time
Sometimes while observing simple day to day events, like your children getting on the bus, can spur conversations with God… Prejudice, dishonor, disdain, scorn, distrust, judgment, disrespect, derision, dislike, contempt, and indignation are all wall builders. Each plays a part in building a self-protective wall, in order to maintain a sense of security. A security in which itself is false, and unable to protect anything, yet in all reality it becomes a weapon that wounds and harms and can potentially destroy whatever comes into its sights.
But love….covers a multitude of sins….love values, honors, esteems, favors, regards and respects. Love moves towards and never avoids. Without love, what do we have? Disagreements, never resolved, friendships, and relationships broken and untended, false security, and wounds left to heal without care. May only His perfect love lead us that we may not sit in the seat of the scornful, walling ourselves and others off from Him.

AuthorI have been married to my wonderful husband for 29 years. We have two young men ages 25 and 20.. This blog is somewhat of a journal and attempt for me to remind myself of my purpose and invite others to join me in keeping an eternal perspective as we move through each day. Archives
